Thompson an advocate for stronger border security.

I have felt for some time that any presidential candidate (Democrat or Republican) who is on the right of the illegal immigration issue will garner tremendous support. As long as national security remains this country’s primary concern, there should be a sense of urgency in protecting America’s borders. The need for stronger border enforcement is even more palpable after the release of a study indicating illegal aliens are killing more Americans than the Iraq war.

Fred Thompson weighed in on this issue after President Bush’s recent trip south of the border.
