The Politico reports Fred's reaction to the Licenses for Illegals:

"Under the federal 'Motor Voter' law (the National Voter Registration Act of 1993), states must provide applicants for drivers licenses with the opportunity to register to vote," Thompson wrote. "Giving legal drivers licenses to illegal immigrants is wrong and would."

And..Also today -- at a press avail before a fundraiser in California -- Thompson asked, "Why aren’t they being apprehended and sent home if they come in and announce that they’re illegal?"

"We’ve either got to be serious enforcing our laws or not. I don’t think we can afford to be selective in that regard."So much common sense... so little time.
